Armenistis is located on the north west side of Ikaria and is has the most lively nightlife on the island while still retaining all of its original Greek fishing village charm.

Armenistis is located above Livadi Beach which together with its neighbour Messakti Beach are probably the best beaches on Ikaria, with fine golden sands and clean (if often choppy) water. There is also a sheltered little town beach. Umbrellas and chairs are available for rent on Livadi Beach.

Armenistis has many taverns serving delicious local freshly caught fish dishes, as well as bars and cafes. There is an excellent supermarket for self-caterers.

There is a good selection of apartments, studios, and pensions if you decide to stay in Armenistis.

Moped, car, and jeep hire are all available in Armenistis if you want to explore further down the coast or inland.

As well as the taverns and bars which are open late into the night in the summer months, there are also three discos / night clubs on the outskirts of Armenistis.
