The two main ports of Ikaria (Agios Kyrikos and Evdilos) are well served by ferries with daily departures from Pireas (Athens) – journey time approximately 10 hours with a minimum fare of €25, and the island of Samos – journey time under 3 hours with a minimum fare of €10. There are also scheduled ferries from Paros, Naxos, Siros, and Mikonos on some days of the week.

Between June and August there are also speedy hydrofoil (flying dolphin) services from Kos, Kalimnos, Leros, Patmos, and a one hour service from Pythagorio, Samos to Ikaria.
